The question everyone wants the answer to...let's take a closer look at one of the most talked about players in basketball.
Lonzo Ball has been able to lead UCLA back to the top of college basketball, but will he be able to live up to the hype in the NBA? Does he really have the potential of legends like Jason Kidd?

  • why you gonna ride the bandwagon of a player who hasn't proved himself in an NBA game

    jakob gjakob g3 yil oldin
    • +james harden the bearded one I'm not riding any bandwagon. I call it how it is. No bias involved. What I'm not gonna do, is put down a player either. I believe any player can become as good as they are willing to make themselves. Lonzo has all the tools to be successful, I'm just here to say that he isn't all hype. Thanks for watching!

  • he haven't said anything neither people are judging him by what his father is saying two different individuals... stop holding him responsible for what his father is saying that's the problem here!!!

  • To answer your question purely on basketball, I think Lonzo is a very interesting player, different, with a nice potential. I like his vision and ability to make his teammates play, and how he pushes forward. In defense, I've seen him able to do nice stuff too. His shot goes in, it's a fairly quick release, but there is still a question mark for NBA level. I question a his fire, his ability to be 100% motivated and not nonchalant. He disappointed me quite a lot in the Kentucky game where I found him nonchalant. It was a big game, and a big opponent, and I don't get how he can not be ultra-motivated for this kind of stuff. Being a different type of player, he can bust probably a bit more than a Fultz for example, who is a very generic NBA type of player. You know Fultz' game will translate, and you know he has high chances of having a decent at least NBA career. Lonzo is different, he plays a different style of basketball. Which can either bust or be a huge advantage and lead him to a great career. What will make the difference is his will to work, improve, and obviously where he lands and what they do with him. He is my favorite player in this draft, and not because I think he is miles ahead or because I see pure greatness, but because I like how he plays, I'm glad to see something different and I just enjoy his plays.

  • People are really getting really really really dumb on this. I don't know, either they don't think or they just cherry pick and hate. He is averaging 14.6 points, 7.6 assists, 6 rebounds a game, shooting 55.1% and 41.2% 3-pts. So first, nobody can deny those are really good stats. He, helped by the team and coaching staff, had a great year, coming from a losing record to having a 31W-5L. Nobody can deny that either, those are numbers. His stats and impact, and the strengths he displayed while still being young, obviously make him a top pick. It's not about "is he already a great NBA player" but "is he a top NCAA guy with potential". And he is. He definitely showed he is amongst the top 3-4-5 guys in NCAA. So why do people think it's "hype"?! Numbers and facts aren't hype. People hate him, despise him, because his father said stupid stuff he should never have said. But Lonzo didn't say shit. He stays in his corner, plays, and that's it. So we come back to what I said: people don't think and just decide to hate. Of fucking course he has weaknesses, NEVER EVER a NCAA player OR A NBA player was perfect. Never in history, will never happen. People like MJ? Well guess what, it took him 6 years to reach 30% 3-pts shooting, and on career he doesn't even make 1 out of 3. Not perfect. Chamberlain, not perfect. KAJ, not perfect. James, not perfect. But still people will hate on Ball because he struggles on this or isn't good at that. I'm not the biggest fan of some NCAA players whom are projected high. But I can still recognize where they are good, where they aren't, and then say why I think this or that. Blindly hate is very 2000s, today's generation is ALL about that, but it won't lead you very far.

  • I think Lonzo will do good in the NBA He plays like Magic Assist leader He makes everyone around him better He's humble He's going to be a star 😇🏀😇🏀😇

  • As a player....he's real....he'll struggle a bit, his dads antics won't make it any easier.....I believe he perseveres and becomes a great NBA player.....he'll have a target on him for a while....but I don't think it lasts to long....the kid does not strike me as a shit taliking loud mouth....guys will like playing with him......book it.

  • He is a talented point guard, he his humble, yet at the same time it's the media. He does get a lot of attention. There are fans that have their favorites and of course the skeptics. It is what it is. A lot of these prospects have a high floor, yet no one knows how they will do until they actually play s real NBA game. Yet I guess it's fun to talk about.

  • He's pretty good for a guy who only shoots threes and layups/dunks. Nothing in between. See all the highlights above and any other highlight available.

    Colonel AngusColonel Angus3 yil oldin
    • Colonel Angus but then look at a player like Tatum who doesn't have a three ball or Fox or even Jackson they are pretty good for guys who can't shoot from the 3

      JxshJxsh3 yil oldin
    • +Colonel Angus Well the majority of his game is moving the ball around and passing, but if your talking just scoring, then yes that's where he gets the majority of his points. Thanks for watching!

  • they hyped up Deangelo Russell the same way Lonzo to me is Michael Carter Williams 2.0 MCW was the shit at Syracuse dropping but in the NBA he's just ok both of the play the same and have the same build but Ball shoots better

  • yup the media does there job, they get to Alfred the head coach, coach makes stupid decisions like taking him out of the game, giving him mediocre players to cover for defense, all because his dad has a big mouth, stupid coach

  • I agree with ya, you can tell the game revolves around him. But I don't see him as a NBA point guard. Yea he passed great but a lot don't seem like it's in the 1/2 court.

    • StuntinOnEm Exactly. Curry himself is a pretty good guy who doesn't give much of a reason to hate him (like Lonzo) but the media and his own fans have caused everyone else to hate him due to the "over exposure ". It sucks though because he plays well enough to deserve the coverage, but it's so much that it burns some people out. Thanks for watching!
